The name was inspired by the valley that divides the area into two plateaus. The field is located on the sandy ground. The course was designed by Lassi Pekka Tilander and supervised by Tony Ristola. The field is designed so that it is ready to accept players of different levels.
Sand Valley Golf & Country Club is a complex, which includes the 18-hole golf course and golf academy. There will also be a driving range (with roofed stands) and putting green. The course is located on the 20 meter hill with overlooking the surrounding countryside. Characteristic of the field are numerous bunkers, one of which, with an area of 2 hectares, spreads over almost half a kilometer and crosses three fairways. There are also two types of bunkers - "pot bunkers" and "waste bunkers".
